Role Purpose

The Snowflake Architect role at Wipro Technologies is integral to driving exceptional architectural solutions and providing thought leadership within our Data Analytics & AI practice. The purpose of this position is to design and implement cutting-edge data platform architectures that enable delivery teams to achieve superior client results through scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions.

This role demands a visionary professional who can blend technical expertise in Snowflake and related data technologies with strategic insights to elevate client engagement and satisfaction. The successful candidate will collaborate across cross-functional teams to craft innovative solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards while anticipating future technology trends to maintain Wipro's leadership in the data transformation space.

Key Skills Required:

• Data Platforms: Proven expertise with Snowflake, alongside practical experience with Fabric, CosmosDB, DataBricks, MongoDB, and traditional RDBMS systems, ensuring comprehensive platform knowledge for diverse client needs.
• Data Replication and Change Data Capture (CDC): Hands-on skills with tools such as Qlik Replicate and Oracle GoldenGate to architect resilient and real-time data integration pipelines.
• Data Modeling: Proficiency in ERStudio or equivalent data modeling tools to design normalized and optimized data schemas tailored to business requirements.
• Data Integration & ETL Tools: Expertise with Matillion, Alteryx, and Qlik, enabling orchestration and transformation of complex data workflows efficiently.
• Visualization and Reporting: Strong experience in Power BI or similar BI tools to support end-user analytics and data storytelling.

Additional technical acumen in cloud-native services, especially Microsoft Azure Cosmos DB, will be advantageous to support hybrid and multi-cloud deployments.

Primary Responsibilities

This role encompasses a broad set of responsibilities aimed at elevating both the technical and strategic capabilities of delivery teams:

• Provide authoritative technical input during project initiation by crafting detailed architectural designs and recommendations that align with client goals and organizational best practices.
• Collaborate comprehensively with stakeholders—including executives, product owners, and technical teams—to validate solution objectives, evaluate constraints, and ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards.
• Identify and proactively address implementation risks, preparing comprehensive mitigation plans to assure project success.

Enabling Delivery Teams:

• Forge and nurture trusted relationships with business and technical leaders to serve as a key advisor on architectural matters.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) for solution effectiveness and operational efficiency.
• Manage concurrent projects with disciplined status reporting and compliance with organizational project management methodologies.
• Oversee quality assurance measures for all architecture and design decisions, providing technical support to resolve complex challenges encountered by delivery teams.
• Advise on tools and automation strategies to enhance productivity, accelerate delivery timelines, and reduce risks.
• Lead the development and continuous refinement of enterprise architectural frameworks and standards.
• Champion the consistent application of architectural principles across all initiatives to maximize performance and scalability.

Client Engagement:

• Partner with pre-sales teams to articulate comprehensive solution designs and underlying principles during client presentations and engagements.
• Negotiate and coordinate with client stakeholders to align requirements and deliver solutions that exceed expectations.
• Demonstrate thought leadership and subject matter expertise to build client confidence, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor.

Competency Building and Branding

• Complete all required certifications and continuous training programs targeting advancements in Snowflake architecture and associated data technologies.
• Develop Proof of Concepts (POCs), case studies, and demonstrations to explore and validate emerging technologies and innovative use cases aligned with market trends.
• Contribute thought leadership by authoring white papers, technical blogs, and opinion pieces reflecting Wipro’s strategic vision on data architecture and transformation.
• Attain market recognition through endorsements by industry analysts, positive client testimonials, and partnership acknowledgments to elevate Wipro’s brand presence.
• Represent Wipro in both internal and external forums as a subject matter expert, sharing insights and best practices to reinforce the organization’s leadership.
• Mentor junior architects, developers, and designers, supporting their professional growth and fostering a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment.
• Participate in talent acquisition processes, including conducting technical interviews, to strengthen the architecture practice with top-tier professionals.
