Job Title: Cisco NDFC Specialist  (Network Automation & Fabric Management)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Cisco NDFC (Network Data Fabric Controller) Specialist with deep hands-on experience in Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller for managing, automating, and optimizing large-scale data centre fabrics. The ideal candidate will have expertise in VXLAN EVPN fabrics, automation workflows, and policy-driven network operations, ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabric Design & Deployment:
    • Architect and deploy VXLAN EVPN fabrics using Cisco NDFC.
    • Configure and manage spine-leaf topologies, overlays, and underlays.
  • Automation & Orchestration:
    • Develop and implement automation workflows using NDFC APIs and templates.
    • Integrate NDFC with external orchestration tools (Ansible, Python scripts).
  • Policy & Security Management:
    • Configure network segmentation, security policies, and compliance checks.
    • Implement role-based access control and secure multi-tenancy.
  • Lifecycle Management:
    • Perform upgrades, patches, and version management for NDFC and Nexus switches.
    • Monitor fabric health, capacity planning, and proactive remediation.
  • Troubleshooting & Operations:
    • Resolve complex fabric issues in real-time scenarios.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.

  • Documentation & Governance:
    • Maintain detailed architecture diagrams, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
    • Ensure adherence to industry best practices and compliance frameworks.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years in data center networking with at least 3+ years in Cisco NDFC.
  • Strong knowledge of VXLAN EVPN, BGP, OSPF, and fabric protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus 9000 series switches and ACI/NDFC integration.
  • Proficiency in automation tools (Python, Ansible) and NDFC REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with network security principles, segmentation, and compliance.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Data Center).
  • Cisco Certified Specialist – Data Center Core or Automation.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments and lead complex projects.
Mandatory Skills: CISCO Nexus Admin .
