A key resource on good technical knowledge on IT infrastructure, who contributes their expertise to enhance organizational effectiveness and support the organization’s vision and strategic direction.

Responsibilieties:

• Install, configure, and maintain infrastructure monitoring solution in-house.
• Collaborate and work with the team to bring out effective monitoring solutions for infrastructure.
• Partner with support teams to ensure the proper monitoring of infrastructure systems.
• Ensures the infrastructure monitoring baselines are up-to date and responsible for upkeep of it.
• Maintain and performs the necessary changes needed in the monitoring solution based on the need and monitoring requirement.
• Contributes to the continuous improvement of the process / service.  
• Follows agreed standards and applies appropriate techniques to elicit and document detailed requirements. 
• Reviews and analyzes the efficiency of existing monitoring setup for a site or an app with a focus on optimization, standardization, and automation.   
• Engages with suppliers on new monitoring requirements or unsatisfactory performance and implements external partners-related service improvement initiatives and programs.   
• Provides governance including documentation, tasks completion in accordance with the defined process(es).   
• Collaborates with stakeholders as required. 
• Ensures that the information is presented effectively and communicated to the relevant stakeholders regularly.
• Assesses the ideas for efficiency improvement and value addition and decides based on their technological, financial, and functional feasibilities.

Requirements:

• Expertise in implementation and maintenance of monitoring solutions in a distributed setup (e.g. Checkmk, Nagios, ELK, etc.).
• Expertise in IT Infrastructure technologies [OS (windows, linux),  Storage, Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), database, backup solutions, etc..).
• Expertise in Cloud platform (MS Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Troubleshooting experience related to monitors / service checks setup in the tool for respective technologies.
• Good scripting knowledge – PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.
• Understanding of REST APIs.
• Basic working knowledge of AIOps platform (Moogsoft / APEX, BigPanda, ServiceNow),
• Able to organize and prioritize the task based on the severity.
• Able to manage, control, monitor, and apply best practices on the infrastructure monitoring.
• Good communication skills as the audience is spread out globally.
