Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Automation engineer to join our core network automation team. This is a pivotal role focused on enhancing automation, standardization and operational efficiency across a complex, highly secure global network infrastructure.
As a senior engineer you will play a critical role in designing and delivering automation solutions using Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO), enabling seamless service provisioning and real-time configuration management across multi-vendor environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and deployment of services with Cisco NSO.
- Automate provisioning and configuration of critical network infrastructure supporting trading platforms, data centers and enterprise connectivity.
- Integrate NSO with existing systems including network inventory, security and management platforms (e.g. Nautobot, HashiCorp Vault, Cisco ISE, Splunk).
- Contribute to NSO containerization, pipeline development and automation testing frameworks.
- Work closely with network architects and cybersecurity teams to ensure automated changes comply with internal security and compliance policies.
- Act as a subject matter expert and mentor junior automation engineers.
- Participate in architectural planning and roadmap development for next-generation network automation initiatives.
- Ensure high availability and performance of NSO platforms.
Key Experience and Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco NSO in complex, multi-vendor environments.
- Strong experience with YANG modelling, XML, Java and/or Python service packages.
- Experience with Cisco pyATS as an automation testing framework.
- Proficient with Linux systems, scripting and troubleshooting.
- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines and tools like Docker, OpenShift and Harness.
- A good understanding of enterprise IP networking, routing protocols/technologies (BGP, MPLS, VXLAN etc.) and routing/switching platforms from Cisco and Arista.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
Experience: 8-10 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
