Lead Administrator (VMware VDI)
Roles and Responsibilities
Should be able to create, manage and scale Persistent and Dynamic desktop pools according to business needs
Troubleshooting of VDI connectivity and components like - View Agent, View Client, Printers, Display issues
Able to create and deploy Golden Template and Master Image required for VDI OS and Version upgrades
Expected to have ITIL Incident and Change management skills and have willingness to save SLA's and Timelines.
Required Skills
Strong administrative experience on Omnissa Horizon View 8.x Infrastructure
Hands on expertise on upgrade of Connection servers & its associated VDI Infrastructure components
Good understanding of Managing Horizon View Certificates and timely updating
Instant Clone and Persistent Desktop pools VDI Management skill on Horizon View 8.x Infrastructure
Well versed with Cloud POD architecture and able to resolve replication issues with connection servers in ADAM DB
Should have good understanding on RDSH based deployments of applications for multiple users and will be able to do software upgrade in
phased manner
Excellent skills on VDI performance tuning and able to analyse and resolve slowness issues with help of tools like - Systrack,
VMware vROPS, vCenter Performance charts
Strong skills on Ivanti Environment Manager and Application Manager deployments and enforcements
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
SCCM deployments and troubleshoot software installation issues on VDI's
FS Logix profiles and MS One drive concepts to resolve user issues
O365 and Outlook issues with user profile and resolve user issues.
PowerShell scripts and automation for large scale reporting and deployments
Monitoring consoles to monitor the VDI's availability
Experience: 5-8 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
