Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and administer MongoDB databases across Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments.
- Configure, manage, and maintain MongoDB Replica Sets to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
- Design, implement, and maintain MongoDB Sharding for large-scale database environments.
- Perform database backup, restoration, and disaster recovery activities.
- Monitor database health and optimize performance through database tuning and best practices.
- Analyse and create indexes to improve query performance and database efficiency.
- Troubleshoot MongoDB performance, availability, replication, and connectivity issues.
- Plan and execute MongoDB version upgrades, migrations, and patch management activities.
- Create and manage database users, roles, and access privileges based on security standards.
- Implement and manage MongoDB security features including authentication, authorization, encryption, and auditing.
- Work with MongoDB Cloud Manager (MMS) or equivalent monitoring tools for proactive monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning.
- Ensure database compliance with organizational security and operational policies.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to support business-critical applications.
- Prepare and maintain operational documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge articles.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in MongoDB Administration.
- Expertise in MongoDB Replica Sets and Sharding.
- Experience with MongoDB Backup and Recovery strategies.
- Strong knowledge of MongoDB Performance Tuning and Query Optimization.
- Proficiency in Index Design and Optimization.
- Experience in MongoDB Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB Upgrades and Data Migration projects.
- Knowledge of User Management, Roles, Authentication, and Security Configuration.
- Experience with MongoDB Cloud Manager (MMS), Ops Manager, or monitoring tools.
Mandatory Skills: MongoDB Admin .
Experience: 5-8 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
