Senior Data Analyst

Experience: 10+ Years

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to drive data-driven decision-making through advanced data analysis, business requirement gathering, data quality assessment, reporting, and insights generation. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in SQL, data warehousing, data mapping, data governance, business analysis, and stakeholder management within large-scale financial services or enterprise environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document data and reporting requirements.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, data quality issues, and business insights
  • Perform data profiling, reconciliation, validation, and root cause analysis across multiple source systems.
  • Develop detailed data mapping documents, business rules, and source-to-target transformation specifications
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, KPIs, and analytical solutions to support business and regulatory reporting needs.
  • Work closely with Data Engineers, Developers, QA teams, and Product Owners to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
  • Support data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise reporting initiatives through data analysis and validation activities
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, metadata, compliance, and regulatory reporting standards.

 

 


Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Business Analysis, Data Warehousing, or Regulatory/Data Reporting.
  • Strong experience in:
    • Data Analysis and Data Profiling
    • Data Mapping and Data Validation
    • Data Quality Management
    • Business Requirements Gathering
    • Root Cause Analysis
    • Data Warehousing Concepts
    • Regulatory and Management Reporting
  • Advanced SQL expertise with hands-on experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, and data validation logic.
  • Experience with databases and analytical platforms such as:
    • SQL Server
    • Oracle
    • Snowflake
    • Hive / Impala
    • DB2
  • Hands-on experience with reporting and visualization tools such as:
    • Power BI
    • Tableau
    • Business Objects or equivalent BI platforms
  • Experience with Python for data analysis, automation, and data quality validation.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and stakeholder management
  • Experience in Banking, Capital Markets, Risk, Compliance, Loans, Regulatory Reporting, or Financial Services domains.
  • Exposure to AML, KYC, OFAC, Transaction Monitoring, Risk Reporting, or Compliance Analytics.

 

Mandatory Skills: Data Analysis .

 

Experience: 8-10 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
