Key Responsibilities
Business & Functional Requirements
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business objectives for SASE adoption (ZTNA, SWG, CASB, FWaaS, SD‑WAN).
- Capture, document, and validate end‑to‑end requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflows.
- Develop detailed process maps, current‑state vs future‑state models, and gap analyses.
- Translate network security and access control needs into clear functional requirements for engineering teams.
Program & Delivery Support
- Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and feature prioritization for the SASE program.
- Coordinate with Product Owners, Engineers, and Architects to ensure requirement clarity and solution alignment.
- Track progress of multiple SASE workstreams and report status, risks, and dependencies.
- Assist in defining service onboarding processes and user experience journeys.
Security & Access Enablement
- Work with security teams to define Zero Trust policies, segmentation logic, access models, and user identity flows.
- Support integration requirements for Identity & Access Management (IAM), SSO, MFA, and device posture validation.
- Document security controls, compliance needs, and non‑functional requirements including performance, resilience, and logging.

Testing & Validation
- Develop test scenarios and support UAT for SASE components.
- Validate that implemented configurations meet business requirements and security policies.
- Log defects, track resolutions, and ensure quality delivery.
Stakeholder Management
- Facilitate workshops with global business teams, cybersecurity, networks, and cloud platform groups.
- Communicate updates through dashboards, reports, and presentations.
- Act as the liaison between business teams and engineering groups.
Required Skills & Experience
Core BA Skills
- 6–10 years of Business Analyst experience in large enterprise environments.
- Strong documentation capability (BRD, FRD, user stories, process maps, workflows).
- Expertise in Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban).
SASE‑Specific Skills
- Understanding of SASE components:
- Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
- Secure Web Gateway (SWG)
- CASB
- Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS)
- SD‑WAN / Network transformation
- Familiarity with SASE vendors (Zscaler, Palo Alto Prisma, Netskope, Cisco, Cloudflare, etc.).
- Strong understanding of IAM, MFA, SSO, device posture checks, and policy‑based access.

Technical & Analytical
- Ability to analyse network flows, access patterns, and application dependencies.
- Understanding of network security fundamentals (DNS, TLS, VPN, proxies).
- Experience with logging/monitoring requirements (SIEM, DLP, telemetry).
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder handling.
- Ability to simplify complex security concepts for business teams.
- Comfortable working with global cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SASE transformation or Zero Trust programs.
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Certifications in networking or security (CCNA, Zscaler, Palo Alto, CISSP Associate, etc.).
