Job Summary: The Standard Automation Platform Engineer contributes to the development, maintenance, and optimization of the core automation platform, primarily utilizing Ansible, Chef, or Converge, for the financial firm's private cloud and virtualization infrastructure. This role ensures the stability and functionality of the foundational automation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain components of the automation platform using Ansible, Chef, or Ansible Converge.
  • Assist in managing the infrastructure and configuration of the automation platform (e.g., master servers, agents).
  • Contribute to the standardization of automation content and best practices.
  • Participate in troubleshooting issues related to the automation platform itself.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to implement new features and improvements to the platforms
  • Ensure adherence to security policies and compliance requirements.
  • Document platform configurations, procedures, and usage guidelines.
  • Strong experience in infrastructure automation or systems administration, with hands-on experience in Ansible, Chef etc
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in one of Ansible, Chef, or Ansible Converge. Strong scripting skills (Python, YAML, Ruby, PowerShell). Familiarity with Linux/Windows system administration, OpenShift. Understanding of private cloud/virtualization concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of Git for version control..
Mandatory Skills: Ansible Tower .

 

Experience: 5-8 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
