LAN/WAN and SD-WAN
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Cisco CCNP/CCIE Routing and Switching certification is desirable
- In depth knowledge of Cisco LAN, WAN, SD-WAN (CISCO Viptela highly desirable) and data center infrastructure, configuration, and operations
- In depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), carrier WAN and Internet offerings, cloud network services.
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco LAN switching technologies including STP, RSTP, MSTP, VLANs, EtherChannel and switch stacking; proficient in configuring and troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches, implementing QoS, and managing network segmentation and redundancy.
- In depth knowledge of firewalls, Zscaler and load balancer(F5) infrastructure, configuration, and operations.

Wireless
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Cisco CCIE Wireless / Aruba Expert Level (ACMX, ACDX, ACCX) certification is desirable
- Certified Wireless Networking Professional (CWNP) and Certified Wireless Security Professional (CWSP) is desirable
- Has thorough knowledge of WiFi network infrastructure and understanding of software defined networking.
- In depth knowledge of Wireless LAN (Cisco WLAN, Cisco ISE, Aruba WLAN, Aruba Clearpass, Aruba Central, Aruba Naas) and private 5G (eg Celona) solutions
- In depth knowledge of WiFi network infrastructure, WLAN authentication and understanding of software defined networking.
Engineers with a strong mix of the above would be ideal, however please prioritise the LAN/WAN and SD-WAN skillsets.

- Build an internal talent pool of HiPos and ensure their career progression within the organization

- Set goals for direct reportees, conduct timely performance reviews and appraisals, and give constructive feedback to direct reports.
- Ensure that organizational programs like Performance Nxt are well understood and that the team is taking the opportunities presented by such programs to their and their levels below
- Employee Satisfaction and Engagement
- Lead and drive engagement initiatives for the team
- Track team satisfaction scores and identify initiatives to build engagement within the team
- Proactively challenge the team with larger and enriching projects/ initiatives for the organization or team
- Exercise employee recognition and appreciation
