Job Description
Role & Responsibilities
• Changes management in customer devices for remote management of devices and onboarding of Monitoring tool
• First point of escalation for all technical and process issues during transition.
• Ensure proper communication and quick resolution as a crisis manager.
• Timely escalation to management
• Plan and schedule Changes coordinating with different stakeholders.
• Perform Service Requests based on Standard Operating Procedures
• Service incidents and queries within the agreed service levels
• Follow quality / security process defined for the engagement
• Perform Trend analysis, identify top few incidents and work with respective teams/individual to minimize the incidents
• Hardware troubleshooting & Vendor coordination
• Work on the service improvement programs.
• Effort estimation/reviews on need basis for new projects.
• Training of new team members.
• Work with project teams for activities such as new server build, OS upgrades, migrations etc
• Automation of tasks using Shell / Perl scripting

• Experience and Expert in Linux Administration (RHEL, CentOS, Suse, )
• Experience and Expert in KVM
• Experience and Expert in LVM
• Experience and Expert in Satellite server Management and configuration
• Experience and Expert and knowledge of Dell, HP Hardware
• Knowledge and experience of Dell and HP servers Firmware upgrade
• Advanced shell scripting
• Configuration of RedHat Cluster / Veritas Cluster
• NIS, NIS+ / DNS configuration
• Patch management
• NFS / Automount configuration
• Recovery of Operating system from backup
• Server / OS Crash analysis
• Performance tuning
Secondary Skills
• Knowledge on server Build installation, configuration and Administration
• Knowledge on LVM administration
• Knowledge of Solaris 8, 9, 10, 11
• Knowledge of Zones & LDOM Administration
• Knowledge of Oracle OPS center Tool
• Knowledge and Configuration of SVM, VxVM & ZFS
• Advanced shell scripting
• Knowledge in other domains such as Storage, Backup, Database, Middleware and network.
• Experience in VMware
Process & Tools • Expert in ITIL processes
• Good exposure in various ticketing and monitoring tools
• Vendor coordination
• Capacity management tools • ITIL certification
Behavioral Skill • Good Written & Verbal Communication Skills
• Highly dynamic in terms of managing workloads and working under pressure.
• Experience in handling global customers • Onshore experience
