Job Description
Regulatory Oversight and SMF16 Responsibilities
- Leads the compliance function within Servaada, the Chief Compliance Officer also oversees compliance with laws, regulatory requirements, policies and procedures for the firm.
- Holds the SMF16 Compliance Oversight function, ensuring Servaada meets its obligations under the FCA Handbook and the Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SM&CR).
- Reporting line directly into the CEO.
- Executive Committee member shaping compliance strategy and influencing strategic planning and decision-making to ensure that compliance considerations are embedded from their earliest stages.
- Advise the Board on regulatory risk management and compliance activities, and attending relevant committees such as the Risk and Compliance Committee or main Board meetings.
- Manage a team of 5 senior direct reports, each with own teams of UK and India based compliance staff.
- Contribute expertise at trade associations or other industry events.
- Good understanding of the regulatory obligations required for pensions and investments activities.

Regulatory engagement and reporting
- Lead all compliance interactions with the FCA, including thematic requests, supervisory dialogues, and regulatory submissions.
- Responsible for the firm’s regulatory reporting programme and ensuring timely / accurate submissions.

Monitoring Programme
- Responsible for the design and execution of the compliance monitoring programme, ensuring robust oversight of the regulatory risk universe applicable to Servaada and its outsourced services for clients.
- Identify, assess, and escalate conduct and regulatory risks, providing strong challenge and clear recommendations to senior leadership and the Board.
- Responsibility for firm’s compliance with CASS

Advisory & Regulatory Change
- Oversee regulatory risk assessments and working collaboratively with the second line Risk Function
- Oversee the ongoing development and implementation of the organisation’s compliance framework, ensuring policies and procedures are robustly designed, documented, monitored, and regularly reviewed. Ensure these remain current with changing statutory requirements.
- Provide advisory support to senior management on regulatory obligations, complex compliance matters, emerging risks, and evolving regulatory expectations to ensure informed decision-making across the organisation
- Working closely with business units to embed robust frameworks
- Provide expert guidance on regulatory change affecting the firm.
- Support operations and other support teams with timely and pragmatic regulatory advice
- Remain up to date with regulatory and legislative changes and ensure that the impact of such is reflected in the business’ policies and procedures
- Attendance at senior client governance forums

Culture, Training & Leadership
- Promote a strong culture of compliance and conduct across the firm.
- Ensure comprehensive compliance training and awareness programmes are provided to all staff through a blend of e-learning modules, instructor-led sessions, and external courses tailored to individual needs
- Responsibility for Servaada's obligation in relation to individual conduct for training and reporting of conduct breaches to the FCA.
- Oversee the Certification Regime and Fit and Proper processes
