Job Description for Lotus Notes/Domino with Minimum 3 – 5 Years of relevant Lotus Notes Experience
Position Title
Lotus Domino / Lotus Notes Administrator – Japanese Language Support
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lotus Domino / Lotus Notes Administrator with Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on experience to support and manage enterprise Domino environments. The role requires a native Japanese speaker to interact directly with Japan‑based users, stakeholders, and support teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support HCL Lotus Domino / Lotus Notes environments.
- Perform user administration, including mailbox creation, access management, ACL handling, and group administration.
- Manage mail flow, replication, routing, and troubleshooting delivery issues.
- Monitor Domino servers for performance, availability, and health.
- Handle backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities for Domino servers.
- Support Domino upgrades, patches, and security fixes.
- Troubleshoot Lotus Notes client issues, including connectivity and replication problems.
- Coordinate with L1/L2 support teams and provide L3-level technical support when required.
- Communicate effectively with Japanese users and stakeholders for issue resolution, clarifications, and updates.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational guides.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security and audit requirements.
Technical Skills (Mandatory)
- Strong hands‑on experience with HCL Lotus Domino / Lotus Notes (Admin & Support).
- Experience in:
- Domino server administration
- Mail routing & replication
- ID Vault / Notes IDs
- ACLs and database permissions
- Knowledge of Windows / Linux platforms supporting Domino.
- Experience with backup and monitoring tools for Domino.
- Understanding of security concepts related to messaging systems.
Language & Communication Skills (Mandatory)
- ✅ Native Japanese speaker – must be able to:
- Speak fluently with Japanese users
- Read and write Japanese emails and documentation
- Moderate English communication skills for internal coordination.
Good to Have
- Experience with Domino.
- Basic scripting knowledge (LotusScript and Xpages)
- Exposure to ITIL processes and ticketing tools.
- Experience supporting global / Japan‑based customers.
- Basic Knowledge in Oracle , SQL, VB
Additional Notes
- This role requires direct interaction with Japan stakeholders, hence Japanese language proficiency is non‑negotiable.
- Candidate should be flexible to support overlapping Japan business hours, if required.
