Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to manage moderately complex financial and inventory-related activities, ensuring accuracy in cost and accounting records. The role supports timely and accurate financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Additionally, the role involves conducting detailed research, tracking, reviewing, and reporting on inventory-related activities to maintain data integrity and operational efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and evaluate financial and cost reports to ensure accuracy and completeness of analysis
  • Develop cost and inventory analysis reports, identify variances, and provide insights
  • Handle vendor correspondence and resolve inventory-related queries and discrepancies
  • Prepare, review, and process journal entries; reconcile cost and inventory ledgers with proper substantiation
  • Maintain and update standard costing for inventory in line with organizational guidelines
  • Manage BAU activities, claims processing, and ad-hoc requests independently without follow-up
  • Provide timely and accurate support to auditors, along with proper documentation and folder management
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while managing multiple processes simultaneously
  • Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring deliverables meet defined expectations and timelines
  • Extract, cleanse, transform, and present data as per business and reporting requirements
  • Contribute to process improvements and support execution of ad-hoc requests or initiatives
  • Monitor team deliverables and ensure timely completion aligned with business expectations
  • Prepare performance-related reports for tracking team productivity and efficiency
  • Ensure 100% accuracy and adherence to agreed timelines in all deliverables
  • Demonstrate flexibility by supporting additional business requirements beyond core responsibilities
  • Prior experience in Inventory Management will be an added advantage

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • CMA (Semi-qualified or Qualified) will be an added advantage
  • Hands-on experience in Cost & Inventory Accounting within a Manufacturing environment is preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting
