Job Description: 

Mainframe Testing - Lead

Role: Mainframe Testing - Lead

Band: B2 & B3

Location: Pune, Bangalore & Hyderabad

Experience: 5+ years to 12 years

JD: 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of  5 years of experience in mainframe testing
  • Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries and perform database testing
  • Experience in test planning, test case design, and test execution
  • Knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium or UFT
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures based on business requirements and technical specifications
  • Execute test cases and document results to ensure the quality and functionality of mainframe applications
  • Identify and report defects and issues to development teams and work with them to resolve problems
  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of quality software
  • Provide support to end-users during the UAT (User Acceptance Testing) phase
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies and tools
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior testers and team members
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process and methodology
