Background:

Agent based Micro segmentation project based on solution Illumio.

The plan is to engage a partner for the microsegmentation roll out to accomplish following primary goals:

·        Increase roll out speed by increased staffing of experienced resources.

·        Increased solution architecture competence to create most value from solution medium & long term and take best design decisions short term.

·        Increase rollout speed through access to additional, experienced resources.

·        Enhance solution architecture capability to ensure optimal design decisions are made in the short term and that the solution delivers maximum value in the medium and long term.

Senior Solution Architect - The first and most urgent step is to onboard a Senior Solution Architect with strong Illumio expertise and proven experience from large-scale microsegmentation deployments. This role is critical to setting the architectural direction and guiding the overall solution design.

Role Description: 

The Senior Solution Architect is expected to have the following profile:

• Senior-level engineer with broad and deep knowledge of the Illumio microsegmentation platform.
• Strong solution architecture experience, including practical knowledge of how to combine traditional network firewalling concepts with modern microsegmentation approaches.
• Proven ability to design, document, and maintain architecture designs and operational processes; ITIL experience is considered a strong advantage.
• Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including technical teams, service owners, and application owners.
• Experience from large-scale or enterprise-wide microsegmentation implementations.

Scope of Work senior solution architect 

The role will include both strategic and hands-on responsibilities, such as:

• Support in defining remaining target design for microsegmentation using Illumio (sometimes in co-existence with other segmentation solutions)
• Designing and reviewing Illumio policies in close cooperation with the project team.
• Acting as a technical mentor, guiding and supporting other team members on complex micro segmentation and Illumio-related topics.
• Contributing to best practices, design standards, and operational processes to ensure a scalable and sustainable solution.
• Senior engineer with broad knowledge of Illumio micro segmentation tool
• Strong solution architect experience with process experience combining classic firewalling with microsegmentation.
• Strong in documenting design and processes. ITIL experience wanted.
• Like to interact with many stakeholders.
• Experience from larger installations

Work to be executed by this person is both design and architecture Microsegmentation work but also policy design in the Illumio tool along with guiding the other resources in the team of complex Micro segmentation topics.
