Head of Marketing, Australia & New Zealand
About the Role: This is a leadership role for a marketing professional who wants to own and shape the full marketing charter for a leading AI-powered technology services and consulting company across Australia and New Zealand.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer for APMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa) and working closely with the Managing Director for ANZ, you will lead Wipro's brand, demand, and market positioning strategy in the region. You will be responsible for driving measurable business outcomes through full-funnel marketing, from brand awareness and thought leadership to pipeline influence and deal pursuits.
This role sits within a mature, outcome-driven marketing function that operates as a strategic partner to the business, not a support function.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Market Positioning
- Own and elevate Wipro's brand presence, reputation, and competitive positioning in ANZ
- Drive executive and leadership brand building, including thought leadership programmes aligned with regional priorities
- Manage local PR, media relationships, and agency partnerships, working closely with Wipro's global External Communications team to maintain alignment on messaging and positioning
Account Growth Marketing, Deal Influence and Demand Gen
- Design and execute full-funnel marketing programmes, including Account-Based Marketing (ABM), campaigns, and demand generation, aligned with sector and account priorities
- Partner with sales, sector heads, and account leaders to influence strategic deal pursuits and drive marketing-sourced pipeline
- Track and report on marketing ROI, pipeline contribution, and campaign effectiveness
- Plan and deliver end-to-end events, including Wipro-owned events, industry forums, partner activations, and experiential engagements, as a core lever for client engagement and pipeline development
Ecosystem & Partnerships
- Lead Wipro's engagement with partners, industry associations, and ecosystem influencers in the region. Collaborate with the global Analyst and Advisor Relations team to plan and execute interventions
- Manage partner marketing activations and co-marketing programmes
- Design and deliver Wipro-owned events and manage participation in industry forums
MarTech, Data & Operations
- Leverage the marketing technology stack (CRM, marketing automation, analytics) to drive efficiency, personalisation, and performance measurement
- Use data and insights to inform strategy, optimise campaigns, and demonstrate impact
- Manage the regional marketing budget with a focus on ROI and resource allocation
Who We're Looking For: A senior marketing leader with strong business acumen and a bias for action. Someone who can operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, equally comfortable presenting to the C-suite and rolling up their sleeves to get things done. You understand B2B technology marketing, you know the ANZ market, and you bring a track record of building brands and driving business results in a matrixed, global environment.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of relevant experience in B2B marketing within IT services, technology, or professional services, with industry-leading brands
- Deep understanding of the ANZ market, its business dynamics, and how to engage senior stakeholders effectively
- Proven experience across full-funnel marketing: brand, ABM, demand generation, events, analyst relations, and partner marketing
- Strong command of MarTech platforms, marketing analytics, and data-driven decision making
- Experience managing agencies, budgets, and cross-functional teams in a matrix organisation
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver outcomes with minimal oversight
