Job Description: 

R͏ole

We are looking  a  SAP Operations Lead / Manager to support and manage the SAP Finance platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across SAP FICO modules, working knowledge of CATS and Reinsurance, and at least 4 years of experience in a lead or managerial role. Familiarity with FSCD and RE-FX is a strong advantage. This role demands both strategic oversight and active involvement in day-to-day operations.

This role is a One year FTC based in Sydney/ Melbourne location.

Responsibilities

  • Leading day-to-day SAP operations for finance, ensuring system stability and timely issue resolution.
  • Providing hands-on support across all SAP FICO modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, CO, etc.).
  • Troubleshooting and resolving incidents, service requests, and defects in collaboration with business and technical teams.
  • Supporting and enhancing CATS (Cross-Application Time Sheet) processes and integrations.
  • Managing reinsurance-related processes and ensure accurate financial postings.
  • Coordinating with SAP Basis, Security, and Development teams for system changes and upgrades.
  • Monitoring system performance and drive improvements in operational efficiency.
  • Supporting month-end and year-end financial close activities.
  • Mentoring junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.

R͏equired Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a lead or managerial capacity within SAP operations.
  • 10+ years of hands-on support across all SAP FICO modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, CO, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and SAP integration points.
  • Working knowledge of CATS and Reinsurance processes in SAP.
  • Experience in managing SAP operations in a complex, regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with incident management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

 

Good to have:

  • Exposure to FSCD (Financial Services – Collections and Disbursements).
  • Knowledge of RE-FX (Flexible Real Estate Management).
  • Experience with S/4HANA environments.
  • SAP certifications in relevant modules.
Mandatory Skills: SAP FI - Insurance .
