QA Engineer (Test)
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) | Menlo Park, CA or Fremont, CA
Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on QA Engineer with 6+ years of experience in functional and application testing. This individual contributor role requires ownership of end-to-end testing activities, strong analytical skills, and experience working in Agile environments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality, automation, and modern AI-assisted testing practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Own testing activities from requirements analysis through release sign-off.
- Design and execute functional, regression, and end-to-end test scenarios.
- Identify, track, validate, and manage defects through resolution.
- Analyze requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure testability.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support sprint delivery.
- Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and validate fixes.
- Continuously improve testing processes through automation and AI-enabled tools.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in functional software testing for web or enterprise applications.
- Strong experience as an independent QA contributor in Agile teams.
- Expertise in functional, regression, black-box, and end-to-end testing.
- Ability to translate business requirements into effective test cases.
- Strong problem-solving, defect management, and communication skills.
- Self-starter with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with test automation frameworks and Playwright.
- Exposure to AI/LLM-based testing tools for test case generation, test data creation, and QA productivity.
- Experience testing AI-enabled applications, chatbots, or intelligent workflows.
- Knowledge of modern QA practices, including automation and AI-driven quality engineering.
- Strong learning agility and interest in emerging testing technologies.
Experience: 5-8 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $148,500 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
