Job Description

We are seeking for a COBOL Mainframe Developer to join our team in Mexico City 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL-based mainframe applications.
  • Work with CICS, JCL, VSAM, TSO/ISPF and z/OS environments.
  • Analyze existing programs and implement required changes.
  • Troubleshoot application and batch-processing issues.
  • Support testing, defect resolution, and production activities.
  • Work with business and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in COBOL development and maintenance
  • Good working knowledge of IBM z/OS Mainframe
  • Experience with TSO/ISPF system tools and utilities
  • Strong knowledge of JCL, including job execution and troubleshooting
  • Experience with VSAM file handling
  • Hands-on development/support experience with CICS
  • Experience troubleshooting and supporting mainframe applications
  • Ability to analyze and modify existing COBOL programs

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in banking or financial-services applications
  • Knowledge or prior experience with Credit Systems / Credit Processing is highly desirable
  • Experience supporting business-critical production applications
