Role Purpose

We are looking for a Java Developer with strong experience in Oracle databases (SQL & PL/SQL) and Apache Tomcat to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate has a solid backend development background and enjoys working in environments where performance, stability, and data integrity matter.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions while contributing to continuous improvement and best engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications.
  • Write and optimize SQL and PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers in Oracle Database.
  • Deploy, configure, and support applications on Apache Tomcat.
  • Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning at both application and database levels.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring quality, security, and best practices.
  • Support production environments when needed (incident analysis, root cause analysis).
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Java (Java SE / Java EE).
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Database, including:
    • Advanced SQL
    • PL/SQL (procedures, functions, packages, triggers)
  • Experience deploying and managing applications on Apache Tomcat.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
  • Experience working with JSP, Servlets, or similar Java web technologies.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Spring / Spring Boot.
  • Knowledge of Hibernate / JPA.
  • Experience with RESTful services.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
  • Experience in L2/L3 production support environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
