Job Description

We are seeking for an OpenShift Platform Engineer in Mexico City or Guadalajara, Jalisco

You will be responsible for building, operating, and optimizing Red Hat OpenShift environments that support enterprise‑grade containerized applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain OpenShift clusters across on‑premise or cloud environments.
  • Implement and manage cluster upgrades, patches, and lifecycle operations.
  • Develop automation using Ansible, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting (Bash, Python).
  • Monitor and optimize cluster performance, resource utilization, and application workloads.
  • Configure and manage OpenShift Operators, networking, storage, and ingress controllers.
  • Ensure platform security, compliance, RBAC policies, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Support development teams with application onboarding, troubleshooting, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to maintain platform reliability.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Provide incident response, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement recommendations.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift (installation, configuration, operations).
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes, containers, and microservices architecture.
  • Proficiency with Linux administration, shell scripting, and system troubleshooting.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps workflows.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, routing, firewalls).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk).
  • Ability to manage complex technical environments and work across multiple teams.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, ownership‑driven mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Red Hat certifications (e.g., EX280, RHCSA, RHCE).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) integrated with OpenShift.
  • Knowledge of service mesh (Istio), API gateways, or advanced networking.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Background in SRE, platform engineering, or enterprise DevOps environments.
  • Experience supporting international teams or large‑scale production clusters.
