Job Description

Role Purpose

Wipro is seeking a Tech Lead with strong expertise in microservices and event-driven architecture to design and deliver scalable integration solutions. This role will be responsible for leading the technical design of interoperability services, leveraging Kafka and modern integration patterns, while ensuring adherence to enterprise standards and best practices.

  • Key Responsibilities

     

    • Analyze applications and define functional/technical user stories and use cases
    • Design integration and interoperability architectures across legacy systems, APIs, and databases
    • Define data models, transformation, and mapping strategies for cross-system interoperability
    • Develop and oversee Kafka-based solutions (Producers, Consumers, Streams, Connect)
    • Implement real-time data pipelines across platforms (S3, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, etc.)
    • Manage and optimize Kafka clusters (brokers, partitions, replication, fault tolerance)
    • Produce architecture documentation (HLD/LLD, diagrams, Swagger/OpenAPI)
    • Identify NFRs, edge cases, and end-to-end scenarios
    • Collaborate with business, architecture, governance, and engineering teams
    • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and code quality oversight

Required Skills & Experience

 

  • Strong experience in microservices architecture (REST & event-driven)
  • Expertise in Apache Kafka ecosystem (Core, Streams, Connect)
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Confluent Cloud) and Kubernetes/OpenShift
  • Knowledge of integration protocols (HTTP/REST, JMS, MQTT)
  • Familiarity with message serialization formats (Avro, Protobuf, JSON)
  • Experience with MongoDB and distributed data systems
  • Hands-on with tools: Git, Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube, Jira, IntelliJ/Eclipse
  • Understanding of SOA, APIs, ESB, and enterprise integration patterns

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Apache Camel, Oracle-based systems
  • Exposure to governance frameworks and data security practices
  • Knowledge of ETL/stream processing in real time

  • Ability to drive standardization and change management initiatives
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align technology solutions with business goals
