Job Description: 

Network Security Engineer

Hybrid position in Mexico City 

We are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer with deep expertise in firewall configuration, security policy management, and network protection. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Palo Alto and FortiGate firewalls and F5 load balancers, with additional capabilities in Cisco ISE and Cloud security environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain Palo Alto and FortiGate firewalls, ensuring optimal performance and robust security posture.
  • Manage and optimize F5 load balancers for high availability and secure application delivery.
  • Implement and enforce network security policies, intrusion prevention, and threat mitigation strategies.
  • Integrate and maintain Cisco ISE for network access control and identity-based policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Cloud security deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Conduct security assessments, firewall rule audits, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Troubleshoot complex network and security incidents, escalating to vendors when required.
  • Document configurations, standard operating procedures, and network diagrams.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for security-related incidents.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong hands-on expertise in Palo Alto (PanOS) and FortiGate firewall configuration, troubleshooting, and policy management.
  • Proficiency in network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SSL/TLS, BGP, OSPF.
  • Experience with F5 LTM/GTM configuration and management.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco ISE policy configuration and integration.
  • Incident response and security monitoring skills.
  • Solid understanding of network segmentation, Zero Trust architecture, and access control models

Intermediate English
