Job Description

Role: Spark and Scala Developer
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid - 2 Days Onsite/Week

 

Required Skills and Experience:
Design, develop, test, and deploy robust big data applications using Apache Spark and Scala.
Optimize Spark jobs for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, architects, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and transform them into technical solutions.
Write efficient, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and coding standards.
Implement data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources (structured and unstructured) and ensure seamless integration into data lakes or data warehouses.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted data processing operations.
Document technical specifications, workflow diagrams, and project artifacts.
Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in the big data ecosystem, particularly those related to Apache Spark and Scala.
Coordinate with DevOps teams to automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring of Spark applications.
Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings as part of the Agile development process.
Implement data quality checks, error handling, and logging mechanisms to ensure data integrity and observability.
Support data migration and integration projects across various environments (development, QA, production).

 
Mandatory Skills: PySpark .

 

Experience: 8-10 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
