Job Description

The Technical Business Analyst – IT (Big Data & BI) is responsible for bridging business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver scalable data and analytics solutions. This role focuses on translating business requirements into technical specifications and supporting solutions built on Impala/Hive, PySpark, and Qlik Sense.

The objective is to enable continuous data exploration and analysis, driving insights for decision-making, operational efficiency, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Agile Release Trains (ART)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments
  • Analyze business needs and translate them into user stories, specifications, and acceptance criteria
  • Manage and prioritize Product Backlog
  • Experience in SAFe framework and PI Planning (preferred)
  • Define system scope, data requirements, and project objectives through stakeholder discussions
  • Perform data analysis and validation using SQL, Hive, and Impala
  • Work with UI teams to define KPIs, reporting needs, and dashboards
  • Prepare reports, metrics, and presentations for business and IT stakeholders
  • Translate business problems into data-driven technical solutions
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, risk, and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

  • 5–8 years experience as Business/Technical Business Analyst in data/IT environments
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum tools like JIRA and Confluence
  • Knowledge of Custody and Asset Servicing domain
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Work independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Hands-on experience in SQL, with working knowledge of Hive, Impala, PySpark
  • Experience with Qlik Sense dashboards, data models, and analytics

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • MBA / CBAP / CCBA / Agile / SAFe certifications are an added advantage

 

Mandatory Skills: Business Analysis-BFSI-Domain .

 

Experience: 8-10 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from CAD 100000 to CAD 150000 .
