Job Description
- Data Center (DC) layout and design management.
- Racking, cabling (power and networks) and asset management for all DCs.
- Facilities (physical, HVAC) and security management across multiple data centers.
- Build, maintain, and operate data centers infrastructure and facilities according to industry best practices to ensure high availability, superior performance and 24x7 support.
- Review and analyze existing Infrastructure effectiveness and efficiency, and develop improvement strategies.
- Build plans to optimize capacity, power, cooling and network resources.
- Manage projects and customer provisioning in the DCs.
- Manage shutdowns (regular and emergency), movements, upgrades and all other maintenance activities.
- Ensure that all technical procedures such as installation, configuration, SOPs, run books etc. are well documented and regularly updated.
- Provide management and coordination in emergency situations to eliminate and/or minimize possible downtime.
- Anticipate needs for data center growth through short-term and long-term capacity planning.
- Prepare Data Center disaster recovery plans and ensure service continuity.
- Conduct business continuity and disaster recovery drills.
- Provide preventive measures for proactive monitoring and recommend redundancy or self-healing capabilities to limit outages that impact service delivery.
- Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of data center management best practices.
- Manage vendors contracts, ecosystem partner contracts etc. and co-develop capacity and expansion plans.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local or region-specific codes, government agencies, company directives and industry best practices related to upgrades, retrofits, build-outs, maintenance, overall networking and security operations.
- Forecast budget and manage operational expenses.
- Publish daily, weekly and monthly health and performance statistics and reports.
- Oversee ticketing, reports, alerts and notification of service level agreements (SLA).
- Adhere to standard operating / safety procedures and ensure compliance by vendors, customers and other parties
- Provide leadership, direction, team building, coaching, and decision making for problem and conflict resolutions.
- Oversee and manage all DC activities including technical, staff, administrative, installations and construction activities.
Experience: 8-10 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from CAD 100000 to CAD 150000 .
