A Mobile Device Management (MDM) Specialist is responsible for the deployment, configuration, and management of mobile devices within an organization. This role ensures that all mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops, are secure and compliant with company policies. The MDM Specialist works closely with IT teams and end-users to provide support and resolve issues related to mobile devices.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Design and architect Microsoft Intune solutions for corporate and BYOD environments
  • Deploy and manage Intune across Windows, iOS, Android, and macOS devices
  • Configure device enrollment, compliance, and conditional access policies
  • Enforce endpoint security policies (encryption, passwords, remote wipe)
  • Manage mobile device configuration and lifecycle
  • Ensure endpoint compliance with internal policies and regulations
  • Monitor security posture and remediate compliance gaps
  • Administer application deployment and updates via Intune
  • Troubleshoot Intune, device, and policy enforcement issues (L2/L3)
  • Provide technical support to end users for mobile and endpoint devices
  • Monitor device health, usage, and security metrics
  • Develop and maintain MDM policies, standards, and procedures
  • Collaborate with IT, security, and business stakeholders
  • Maintain technical documentation and operational reports
  • Conduct user training on device usage and security best practices

Key Requirements

 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience 
  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager
  • Strong knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD) and identity management
  • Experience managing Windows 10/11, macOS, iOS, and Android devices
  • Solid understanding of device compliance and conditional access policies
  • Experience with Autopilot, Group Policies, and endpoint configuration
  • Knowledge of enterprise mobility management (EMM) concepts
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Experience providing L2/L3 endpoint support
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management)
  • Experience with scripting (PowerShell and/or Python)
  • Ability to design secure BYOD and corporate device strategies
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills
  • Good stakeholder and end‑user communication skills
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g. Modern Desktop Administrator) are a plus
