OpenTelemetry Agent Engineer – Maintenance
Location: US Remote (within US)
What this role is REALLY about
This is a hands‑on telemetry & observability agent engineering role, focused on OpenTelemetry + FluentBit.
This role does NOT require Linux driver or kernel development.
MUST‑HAVE :-
- Strong experience with Go (Golang)
- Experience programming against the Kubernetes API
- Familiarity with Kubernetes controllers or operators
OR exposure to Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) platform - OSS: Contributors to OTel / CNCF (Actively engage in open source software (OSS) initiatives relevant to telemetry solutions, including contributing code, documentation, and best practices)

- OpenTelemetry (Collector, SDKs, APIs)
- FluentBit / FluentD
- Telemetry ingestion pipelines
- Cloud: Strong Google Cloud (GCP) preference
- Languages: Go (mandatory), C++, Java, Python
- OSS: Contributors to OTel / CNCF

- Linux kernel or driver development
- Embedded / device‑driver profiles
- Generic backend developers with no telemetry depth

Experience: 8-10 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
