Founding Robotics & Physical AI Engineer
Wipro Innovation Network (WIN) Labs | Mountain View, CA

WIN Labs is seeking a hands-on robotics engineer to help launch its new Physical AI Lab in Mountain View. The engineer will work on intelligent robotic systems combining robotics, autonomy, AI, simulation, and foundation models to create systems capable of perceiving, reasoning, planning, and acting in the real world.

The role works closely with the Robotics & Embodied AI team in Bengaluru and will focus heavily on Sim2Real, ROS 2, agentic robotics, VLA models, multi-robot systems, autonomous manipulation, and real-world robot deployment.

Must-Have Skills

I'd prioritize candidates with:

  • 3+ years hands-on robotics software engineering
  • Strong Python and C++
  • Deep ROS / ROS 2
  • Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, Gazebo, or comparable robotics simulation
  • Real-world robotic hardware deployment
  • Sim2Real experience
  • Robotics fundamentals:
    • Kinematics
    • Dynamics
    • Motion planning
    • State estimation
    • Control systems
  • Machine/deep learning, preferably PyTorch
  • Docker, Git, APIs, CI/CD
  • Experience taking robotics systems beyond research/prototype stage

Physical AI Skills to Target

Candidates become particularly attractive if they have experience in one or more of:

Hardware experience: humanoids, quadrupeds, robotic arms, AMRs, mobile manipulators or drones.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $173,800.

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
