Job Title : AI & ML Program Manager

Experience: At least 6-7 years of experience in AI/ML or data science, including 12-15 in a leadership or management role, with a proven track record of delivering production-grade solutions.

Key Responsibilities

The duties of an AI/ML Manager typically span strategic, technical, and people management areas: 

• Strategic Planning:

• • Develop and execute the company’s AI/ML strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and growth targets.
  • Identify opportunities where AI/ML can solve business problems, improve efficiency, and drive value.
  • Define the AI roadmap and prioritize initiatives based on potential impact and feasibility.

• Technical Oversight:

• • Oversee the entire ML lifecycle, from research and data processing to model deployment and monitoring.
  • Guide technical decision-making on model architecture, framework selection (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and infrastructure planning.
  • Ensure models meet high-quality standards, including validation, testing, performance monitoring, and ethical considerations.

• Team and Project Management:
• • Lead, mentor, and grow cross-functional teams of data scientists, ML engineers, data engineers, and analysts.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for AI/ML projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope.
  • Foster a collaborative environment and manage communication across different teams and stakeholders (technical and non-technical). 
• Identifying opportunities for automation by discussing with the Tower leads in the account.
• Work on getting the automation opportunity implemented either using the automation team within the account or by liaising with the central automation team.
• Responsible for presenting the automation solution to customer and obtain customer approvals where required.
• Build and mentor team for executing different activities related to Support and Maintenance, reporting, follow-up with different stakeholders etc.
• Responsible for meeting Automation targets assigned to the Account.
• Present the benefits of the Automation to customer stakeholders during periodic governance meetings resulting in higher customer satisfaction and their references

Successful AI/ML Managers possess a blend of technical depth and leadership capabilities: 

• Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related quantitative field is typically required; a Ph.D. is often preferred for senior roles.
• Technical Skills:

• • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, Java, or C++.
  • Expertise in ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or Scikit-learn.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOps practices and tools (e.g., MLflow, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data analysis techniques.
