Key Responsibilities
Operations & Incident Management
Act as L3 escalation point for complex P1/P2 firewall incidents, outages, and security events
Perform real‑time troubleshooting of traffic drops, latency, VPN failures, policy mismatches, and NAT issues
Lead bridge calls, vendor calls, and war‑room discussions during critical incidents
Ensure strict SLA adherence and timely service restoration
Firewall policies & rule‑base optimization
NAT (Static, Hide, Manual)
IPS, Identity Awareness, and VPN blades
VPN & Security Blades
Advanced troubleshooting of Site‑to‑Site & Remote Access VPNs
Deep understanding of IPSec, encryption domains, tunnel stability, and logs
IPS tuning, false‑positive analysis, performance impact analysis
Identity Awareness troubleshooting (AD integration, PDP/PEP flows).
Checkpoint Firewall R80.x / R81.x (Expert level)
SmartConsole, SmartEvent, SmartView
Checkpoint VPN (IPSec, Remote Access)
IPS, Identity Awareness, NAT, Anti‑Spoofing
ClusterXL, HA, routing & VRFs
