  • Job Description: Network Management L2 Engineer
    **Position:** Network Management L2 Engineer
  • **Location:** Client Site – Turbhe, Navi Mumbai
  • **Working Days:** 6 days a week 24*7 Rotational
  • **Employment Type:** Full-time, Onsite
  • **Reporting To:** Network Lead v

Role Overview

The Network Management L2 Engineer will be responsible for proactive management, configuration, and troubleshooting of the bank’s network infrastructure. The role involves handling escalated incidents, performing advanced diagnostics, implementing changes, and ensuring high availability and security of network services across branches and data centers.

Key Responsibilities

  • • Monitor and manage routers, switches, SDWAN, wireless controllers, and firewalls.
  • • Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents escalated from L1, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • • Perform configuration changes, firmware upgrades, and patch management on network devices.
  • • Manage VPNs, NAC, proxy, and load balancer devices as per bank policies.
  • • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and prepare incident reports.
  • • Coordinate with vendors/OEMs for hardware replacements and escalated issues.
  • • Generate and analyze network performance, availability, and capacity reports.
  • • Participate in DR drills, network audits, and compliance activities.
  • • Maintain and update network documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
  • • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
  • • Support automation initiatives and contribute to process improvements.
  • Primary Skills Required
  • • Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, SDWAN, and wireless controllers.
  • • Strong troubleshooting skills in enterprise network environments.
  • • Experience with firewall, proxy, VPN, and NAC device management.
  • • Knowledge of network monitoring and management tools.
  • • Familiarity with ITIL processes and documentation standards.
  • Secondary Skills Desired
  • • Scripting/automation (Ansible, Python, or Shell scripting).
  • • Understanding of security compliance (RBI, ISO 27001).
  • • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • • Experience in vendor management and coordination.

Qualifications & Experience

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.
  • • 4–6 years of L2 relevant experience in network management/support.
  • • Certifications preferred: CCNA/CCNP, ITIL Foundation.

Work Environment

  •   Client location Turbhe, Navi Mumbai location.
  • • 6-day working week (Monday to Saturday).
  • • May require on-call support for critical incidents.
Mandatory Skills: Cisco Routing and Switching .
