Network Enginer L3 (Switching, Routing & Wireless) 

Job Location: Mumbai

Required skills: 
LAN Switching, Wireless & WAN Technologies 
Strong precise understanding with Hands-on Experience on the Network Switching Routing, Wireless Technologies 

Switching-Routing (L2-L3) Technology: 
Hands-on Knowledge and working experience of VLANS, VTP, ISL, 802.1Q, Ether-Channel, 
STP, RSTP, MST, PVST, FHRP-Gateway Redundancy Protocols, Stacking, Switch Security, 
SPAN, RSPAN, ACL (Standard & Extended), QoS, Port-Channel, Route-map, PBR, SVI, IP Routing, Port-monitoring/mirroring. 

Wireless Technology: 
Hands-on Knowledge and working experience of Cisco Wireless Controllers, AP 
(Lightweight and Autonomous - All Models), FlexConnect, HA/SSO, ACL, Routing, WAP Groups 

Nexus Switches: 
Hands-on Knowledge and working experience of VRF, VRF-Leaking, Spine-Leaf, VPC, FEX, VDC, OTV, VxLAN, FCoE, Fiber Channel 
Hands-on Knowledge and working experience on Cisco 1900, 29xx, 35xx, 37xx, 38xx, 45xx, 65xx series switches; NEXUS 9K, 7K, 5K, 2K; Cisco WLCs: 3650, 5760, 3850, 25xx, 55xx, 
8500 series and WISM2; Cisco APs: Aironet 1142, 1242, 1815, 1830, 1850, 2602, 27xx, 2800, 3800, 9xxx series 

WAN / Routing Technologies: 
Hands-on Knowledge and working experience of eBGP, iBGP, OSPF, IP SLA, Route-map, ACL, 
Prefix-list, Static Routing, Route Re-distribution, MPLS, ILL, EIGRP, RIP Advantages. 

Firewalls: 
IPv4 Policy, Routing (Static), Zones, Nating, Public IPs, IPv6 

Monitoring Tools: 
PRTG, Cisco Prime, NimSoft, HP NNMi, SolarWinds, What'sUpGold, NetBrain, OpsRam or any other tools 

Central Services: 
Knowledge of DNS/DHCP, NAT, IPSEC/GRE VPN, VMs, ISE, TACACS, NAC, Proxy Public 

ITSM Tool: 
Service Now, BMC Remedy 
Understanding of: Knowledge of Incident Management, Problem Management, Change 
Management Process, and ITIL Compliance. 
Documentation Experience using tools like Visio, PPT, Excel, Word, Acrobat pro 
  
Role & Responsibilities 
Ensure to close the tickets (Request, Incidents, Tasks, ITCHG, PBI, KB) in adhere SLA Time 
Providing Guidance to L1 team to process the Tickets 
Adhere the Compliance & Quality on Tickets 
Participation in Bridge calls/MI to troubleshoot the critical issues 
Ability to work with different vendors 
Working with different regions of clients for day to day Network issues, flexible in work timings 
Working on medium/Major Network Projects 
Co-ordination with different teams to resolve the Connectivity issues 
Participating in CAB (Change Advisory oard) and presenting Change Requests; also, doing PIR (Post Implementation Review) for each changes and publish in report. 
Participating, driving MIM and preparing RCA in PB Management. 
Part of ARB (Architecture Review Board)/Engineering/Project team (internal and customer) for new design discussion, assessing and mitigating the risk. 
Providing inputs on the in-scope IT landscape for enhancement 
Leading / Driving the Technical discussion / reviews such as capacity planning, Risk reviews, major change planning, RCA, DR Drills 
Owning the Major incidents and Project task for respective tower / domain 
Providing inputs and assistance in technical changes such as Technology refresh, Migrations, New implementation / Roll out 
Perform analysis based on trend reports, capacity reports etc for in-scope IT landscape 
Provide inputs for fine tuning / enhancement with impact analysis of the fine tuning changes 
Discussion with OEM / Vendor / Suppliers for performance improvement

Do

  • Provide adequate support in architecture planning, migration & installation for new projects in own tower (platform/dbase/ middleware/ backup)
    • Lead the structural/ architectural design of a platform/ middleware/ database/ back up etc. according to various system requirements to ensure a highly scalable and extensible solution
    • Conduct technology capacity planning by reviewing the current and future requirements
    • Utilize and leverage the new features of all underlying technologies to ensure smooth functioning of the installed databases and applications/ platforms, as applicable
    • Strategize & implement disaster recovery plans and create and implement backup and recovery plans
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the tower
    •  Manage day-to-day operations by troubleshooting any issues, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and developing fixes to avoid similar issues. 
    • Plan for and manage upgradations, migration, maintenance, backup, installation and configuration functions for own tower
    • Review the technical performance of own tower and deploy ways to improve efficiency, fine tune performance and reduce performance challenges
    • Develop shift roster for the team to ensure no disruption in the tower
    • Create and update SOPs, Data Responsibility Matrices, operations manuals, daily test plans, data architecture guidance etc.
    • Provide weekly status reports to the client leadership team, internal stakeholders on database activities w.r.t. progress, updates, status, and next steps
    • Leverage technology to develop Service Improvement Plan (SIP) through automation and other initiatives for higher efficiency and effectiveness

    • Lead and drive engagement initiatives for the team
    • Track team satisfaction scores and identify initiatives to build engagement within the team
    • Proactively challenge the team with larger and enriching projects/ initiatives for the organization or team
