Role Purpose
The purpose of the role is to resolve, maintain and manage client’s software/ hardware/ network based on the service requests raised from the end-user as per the defined SLA’s ensuring client satisfaction

- Must have : Provide 24x7 production support for Oracle databases across multiple environments (Development, UAT, Production).
- Perform installation, configuration, Restoration, and upgrades of Oracle Databases (19c/21c/23ai…etc) on Linux/Unix/Windows platforms.
- Manage and support Oracle Single instance, Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) and Exadata infrastructure.
- Conduct routine database health checks, performance tuning, and space management.
- Perform backup and recovery using RMAN and Data Pump.
- Implement and monitor Standby, disaster recovery (DR) and high availability (HA) solutions.
- Handle incident, problem, and change and release management processes as defined by Organization.
- Coordinate with application teams for performance optimization and troubleshooting database-related issues.
- Write and maintain scripts for monitoring, automation, and daily tasks.
- Apply PSU patches and critical updates in compliance with IT security standards.
- Participate in capacity planning, auditing, and documentation of the database environment.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Hands on Experience on OEM , Dynatrace monitoring and Service now tools.
- Experience on implementation TDE support.
- Good to have : Required Skills and Qualifications: -
- 6–7 years of proven experience as an Oracle DBA in production support environments. Strong knowledge of:
- Oracle RAC and Clusterware.
- Oracle Exadata (X8/X9/X10 preferred).
- ASM (Automatic Storage Management).
- Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Oracle Dataguard / GoldenGate.
- Oracle Cloud/AWS Cloud/GCP would be added advantage.
- Experience with database performance tuning, SQL tuning, and AWR/ASH report analysis.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell/Perl/Python) for automation and monitoring.
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix OS and networking concepts related to Oracle DB.
- Hands-on experience with database migration, cloning, and replication.
- Understanding of ITIL process framework would be helpful.
