Role Overview
Wipro Technologies is seeking an experienced and visionary Presales and Solutions Head to lead its Human Resource Outsourcing (HRO) business segment as a General Manager (D2). This critical leadership role involves full accountability for defining and driving innovative solution strategies and commercial frameworks for large-scale, multifaceted HRO engagements across global markets.
The incumbent will serve as the strategic nexus connecting Sales, Delivery, Finance, Transformation, and Strategic Market Units, ensuring that all solutions presented to clients are not only compelling and differentiated but also commercially sound and operationally executable. Key Responsibilities
1. Presales Leadership & Deal Ownership
- Lead and own the entire presales lifecycle for high-value, complex HRO deals, including strategic pursuit identification, RFI/RFP responses, and proactive opportunity shaping.
- Collaborate intimately with Sales leadership to co-create winning bid strategies, develop compelling win themes, and enhance conversion rates across pursuits.
- Serve as the primary solution authority and trusted advisor for multi-tower, multi-geography opportunities, ensuring alignment with client needs and internal capabilities.
2. End-to-End HRO Solution Architecture
- Architect comprehensive HRO solutions covering the full Hire-to-Retire lifecycle, including core HR operations, global payroll, benefits administration, leave management, and employee experience enhancements.
- Design end-to-end HR Shared Services and HR helpdesk models that leverage automation and analytics to drive operational efficiency and superior service delivery.
- Embed innovative technologies such as AI and digital transformation components into solution frameworks to future-proof client engagements.
3. Commercial Modeling & Deal Economics
- Lead the development of sophisticated commercial and financial models tailored for FTE-based, transaction-based, and managed service contracts, ensuring profitability and competitive positioning.
- Craft investment cases for transformation initiatives including ramp-up and steady-state pricing scenarios, balancing client value with margin protection.
- Partner with Finance and Sales teams to analyze pricing sensitivities, deal risks, and commercial assumptions, optimizing deal structures for long-term success.
4. Client Value Proposition & Executive Storytelling
- Develop tailored, outcome-focused value propositions that clearly convey Wipro’s unique capabilities, business impact, and operational excellence to senior client executives.
- Lead high-impact CXO-level presentations, workshops, and solution defenses, translating complex solution designs into compelling narratives that resonate with CHROs, CFOs, COOs, and senior HR leadership.

5. Cross-Functional Partnering & Internal Leadership
- Collaborate with Delivery teams to validate operational feasibility, scalability, and cost efficiency of proposed solutions, ensuring seamless transition from presales to execution.
- Engage with Finance to refine pricing strategies, conduct margin analyses, and maintain governance on deal economics and risk management practices.
- Partner with Transformation teams to integrate next-generation digital HR technologies such as automation, analytics, and AI into client solutions.
- Work with Strategic Market Units (SMUs) to tailor solutions that meet industry-specific requirements and align with go-to-market strategies.
- Coordinate with Delivery Assurance and Risk functions to ensure compliance, assurance, and readiness prior to project handover.
6. Leadership, Governance & Capability Building
- Mentor and develop senior presales and solutioning professionals by establishing best practices, quality standards, and frameworks to elevate team performance.
- Drive the industrialization, reuse, and standardization of solution blueprints and commercial models to optimize efficiency across multiple pursuits.
- Represent Wipro as a thought leader at industry forums, client events, and analyst engagements, shaping the conversation on HRO innovation and digital transformation.

Candidate Profile
Essential Experience & Skills
- A minimum of 25 years of progressive experience in Human Resource Outsourcing (HRO), HR Shared Services, or HR transformation domains, with demonstrated leadership in presales and solutioning.
- Proven success in leading large-scale, complex deal pursuits within HRO environments, including strategic presales ownership and solution design.
- Strong expertise in HRO sales cycles, RFP responses, and proactive deal shaping techniques aligned to competitive landscapes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial modeling approaches, pricing strategies, and financial structuring of deals to optimize profitability and client satisfaction.
Preferred / Differentiating Attributes
- Experience managing multi-tower and multi-geography HRO engagements, demonstrating the ability to coordinate across diverse operational and cultural contexts.
- Familiarity with HR technology platforms, including exposure to automation, analytics, and AI-driven HR transformation initiatives.

Educational Qualifications
