Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to design solution architecture for cross-system interactions and business logic integration, ensuring seamless interoperability across multiple applications.

Area of Responsibility

Requirement Analysis-Participate in requirement discussions with client stakeholders to define solution and implementation level needs basis the business requirements.

Designing-Create solution architecture designs to meet cross-system interactions and business logic integration requirements, ensuring system cohesion across multiple applications.

Integration assessment and support-Assess and evaluate interactions across multiple applications by evaluating implementation dependencies and integration requirements.

Troubleshooting-Support validation of solution components during implementation and ensures the solution functions as designed.

Risk Analysis and Assessment-Assist in identifying potential risks by evaluating system performance of implemented architectural solutions, to ensure efficient system landscape.

Role Overview:
The Automation Solution Architect is responsible for evaluating existing business processes, identifying automation opportunities, and designing scalable, secure, and efficient automation solutions. This role involves selecting the appropriate technology stack, providing technical leadership to development teams, and overseeing the entire automation lifecycle from design to deployment and ongoing support. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for automation solutions.
  • Architecture Design: Design the technical architecture and blueprint for automation projects, making decisions on technology stacks, integration methods (e.g., APIs, databases), and overall system design.
  • Standards & Governance: Define and enforce enterprise-wide standards, best practices, and governance policies for automation development, documentation, and testing to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Technology Selection: Research, evaluate, and recommend appropriate automation tools, platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Azure Logic Apps), and technologies that align with the organization's budget and technical environment.
  • Oversight & Guidance: Oversee the development, testing, deployment, and monitoring stages of automation projects, providing expert guidance and mentorship to developers.
  • Quality Assurance: Lead code and design reviews to ensure quality, reusability, and adherence to security and performance standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor the performance of automated processes, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement using analytics and feedback.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including Solution Design Documents (SDD), flowcharts, and system diagrams. 

  • Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Experience:
    • Proven experience of at least 3-4 years as a Solution Architect or similar role, with specific experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level automation solutions.
    • Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere) and DevOps tooling (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Ansible) is often required.
    • Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
    • Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, C#, VB.NET, or Java.
    • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies is a strong plus.
    • Expertise in database design, API integrations, and security principles.
