Job Description

RF lab technician

A mid-senior (ICT3) RF Lab Validation Technician who maintains and refines RF measurement benches, runs and quality-controls non-signalling measurement campaigns, executes existing Python automation, and performs first-level root cause analysis of bench and DUT issues.

 

Required skills & Qualifications:

  • Technician with electronic education and experience
  • Close alignment with test engineers, team leads and peers offsite for day-to-day business
  • Support test setup infrastructure for test camps
  • Perform and document ESD measurements in lab environment with ESD tester and trigger actions to resolve compliance gaps 

Board setup preparation

  • Storage and distribution of secure HW with maintaining of assignment documentation to test engineers

Mechanical tasks

  • Mechanical modification of racks to install new test systems and installation of racks with measurement devices, switches and passive filters, wiring of DC, data and RF cables
  • Planning / installation and arrangement of new or enhanced regression setup in labs. Performing functional validation and calibration of these setups
  • Facilitate coordination and maintain records for lab device calibration, repair and upgrade in HW / FW
  • Annual CAL maintenance (pick-up devices, prepare for on-site CAL or enable shipping)
  • Coordinate with Third party vendors for seamless CAL service process (capacity / schedule execution quality)
  • Secure process of DGUV testing of shipped testers coming back to lab excluding EHS risks
  • Replacement process of essential / business critical devices during service time

   Inventory maintenance

  • Supply mgt of lab material: responsibility on stock availability and material quality on RF performance (e.g. RF testing with network analyser of dismantled RF coax cables)
  • Logistic planning and ordering of expendable materials
  • Restructuring support of component and HW storage in lab
  • Support of scrapping process of end-of-life devices
  •  Database maintenance process for regular updates
  • Support of measurement device inventory control against SAP documentation for fiscal audit , ensuring data quality by regular update of DB for CAPEX devices for multiple KPI (BIZ critical devices, location notes, CAL flag, HW/SW options)
