Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Network Architect with deep expertise in SD‑WAN and global enterprise networking to lead the design, governance, and transformation of large‑scale WAN, campus, data center, and cloud network architectures.
The role will focus on SD‑WAN strategy, migration from MPLS to hybrid/Internet‑based WANs, branch modernization, security integration, and future‑state network architecture planning across global environments.

 

Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design

  • Design and govern SD‑WAN architectures and migration strategies, including transformation from MPLS to hybrid / Internet‑based WAN models.
  • Define traffic steering, policy‑based routing, cloud on‑ramps, and application‑aware routing strategies.
  • Architect end‑to‑end enterprise network solutions covering:
  • WAN, Campus, Branch
  • Data Center
  • Cloud and hybrid connectivity
  • Align branch modernization initiatives with enterprise security and cloud strategies.
  • Design high availability and resiliency architectures, including Active‑Active and Active‑Passive models.

Standards, Documentation & Governance

  • Develop and maintain High‑Level Designs (HLD) and Low‑Level Designs (LLD).
  • Define and enforce architecture standards, reference architectures, and design patterns.
  • Lead architecture reviews, design validations, and technical sign‑offs.
  • Ensure solutions meet scalability, performance, resiliency, availability, and future‑state requirements.

Global Network Strategy

  • Design and support global WAN and regional hub architectures.
  • Define campus, branch, DC, and cloud interconnect models.
  • Drive network scalability and long‑term technology roadmap planning.
  • Support IPv4 / IPv6 dual‑stack architectures across enterprise networks.

Mandatory Technical Skills

SD‑WAN & Security Platforms

  • SD‑WAN solutions:
    • Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto CloudGenix
  • Firewall & security technologies:
    • Palo Alto Networks, Check Point
    • Cisco ASA with Firepower
    • Secure Internet Gateway – Zscaler

Routing, Switching & Core Networking

  • Advanced expertise in:
    • TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS
    • VLANs, QoS
  • Hands‑on experience with:
    • Cisco ISRs
    • Cisco 2960X / 3850
    • Cisco WLC 5508 (FlexConnect)
  • Strong experience across LAN, WLAN, WAN, Data Center, and Global Networks

Performance, Optimization & Load Balancing

  • Load balancers:
    • F5, Citrix, Cloud Load Balancers
  • WAN optimization and traffic management:
    • Riverbed WAN Optimizers
    • Packet shapers – Bluecoat

Architecture & Design Expertise

  • High availability & resiliency design
  • Active‑Active / Active‑Passive architectures
  • Network virtualization concepts
  • Policy‑based routing and traffic steering
  • SD‑WAN orchestration and lifecycle management

Experience & Qualifications

  • 13+ years of overall experience in enterprise and global network architecture.
  • Proven experience leading SD‑WAN and Cisco Meraki projects.
  • Strong background in network transformation, modernization, and cloud integration initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with global stakeholders, delivery teams, and leadership.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
