Job Purpose: 
This role involves executing projects efficiently, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met. The role holder ensures seamless execution of operations in assigned function by completion of their tasks. They assist their supervisors in managerial tasks. While this role is largely an individual contributor role, in some cases they may lead a small team. The role holder should be able to collaborate with other teams and proactively identify and resolve issues in their span of work.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Operate independently under general supervision, making decisions based on defined guidelines and practices.
  2. Work with teams across functions to deliver on specific project deliverables or achieve outcomes in their span of work 
  3. Work with external stakeholders (ex: vendors) to deliver in their area of work,
  4. Create plans and drive their execution to ensure deliverables are met in their span of work   
  5. Assist supervisor in completion of managerial tasks & responsibilities. 
  6. Oversee operations to guarantee adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  7. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute ideas for enhancing efficiency.
  8. Address and resolve issues within a, sub process, or constituent group.
  9. Mentor team members, in case the role holder is managing a team.
  10. Exhibit full professional competency in their area of work -  using acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete moderately difficult assignments/projects/tasks

  • Administration and Management of Wipro LAN & WAN (Network Domain) across globe as a part of Global Network Project Implementation Team based on the Projects assigned.
  • Implementation and configuration of Network devices which consists of Routers, Switches, NMS Tools & Wi-Fi Devices from different manufacturers (Mainly Cisco & some cases HP/Avaya, etc.).
  • In Depth knowledge and understanding of protocols like OSPF, BGP, HSRP, switching technologies etc.
  • Configure / Implement Network Devices as per the hardening Guidelines/as per particular Project requirement.
  • Troubleshoot Network & Security related problems in a particular Project based on the Project scope defined.
  • Implementation of Network Infrastructure for new Offshore Development Centers (ODC) with appropriate security levels and redundancy as per the ODC requirements.
  • Implementation of Network Infrastructure for new Enterprise Projects with appropriate security levels and redundancy.
  • Implement ODC setups with connectivity varying from MPLS Connectivity, Client to site VPN, Site to Site VPN (Router based).
  • Handle implementations in project movements within Wipro locations, Point to point link establishment, Network infra for new Wipro locations including LAN/WAN/Internet Architecture etc.
  • Coordination with ISP, clients and onsite technical teams for P2P, MPLS, VPN and other links for new implementations and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Validating the technical feasibility of the network design plans for customer/Enterprise networks submitted by the design team and provide appropriate suggestions as required.
  • Knowledge & exposure on (not limited to) NMS Tools, Routing Protocols such as OSPF, BGP, etc., MPLS Configuration (VRF Config),QoS, Switching Protocols, STP, etc.
  • Execute the implementation per the standard ISO (20000 & 27001) and Wipro guidelines following incident, change and capacity management procedures followed in Wipro.
  • CCNP Equivalent Certifications with around 5+ year’s hands on experience. In Routing & Switching
  • Should be able to Multitask & involve in multiple projects at a time.
