Role: Regional CISO, Americas

Location: New Jersey preferred.

About the role:

The Regional CISO is the senior cybersecurity leader responsible for driving the organization’s security strategy and posture across the region. This role serves as a trusted advisor to business leadership, ensuring cybersecurity is embedded into business growth, client engagements, and digital transformation initiatives.

The Regional CISO combines strategic leadership, operational oversight, and client-facing engagement to manage cyber risk, support M&A activities, ensure adherence to regional compliance & regulatory requirements, drive strong security culture, and position cybersecurity as a competitive differentiator.

R͏oles & Responsibilities

Strategic Advisor to Business Leadership

  • Act as a trusted cybersecurity advisor to regional executives and business leaders
  • Translate cyber risks into business impact, risk appetite, and decision frameworks
  • Enable secure adoption of digital, cloud, and AI-driven initiatives
  • Align regional security priorities with global strategy and business objectives 

Client CISO / Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary cybersecurity interface for key clients and stakeholders
  • Build trusted relationship with Client CISOs / Cybersecurity stakeholders
  • Represent the organization in executive forums, audits, and security reviews

Support Business Growth 

  • Partner with sales and business teams in Client discussions and executive briefings, RFP/RFI responses, Security due diligence and assurance activities
  • Articulate the organization’s security capabilities as a business differentiator
  • Support deal closure by addressing client security requirements and concerns

Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Lead cybersecurity due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
  • Assess target organizations for Security maturity and control gaps
  • Provide risk-based recommendations to support deal decisions
  • Define and drive secure integration and identity consolidation strategies

Entities Cybersecurity Operations Oversight

  • Provide oversight of regional cybersecurity operations including Threat detection and response, Incident management and crisis readiness, Vulnerability and risk management
  • Ensure alignment with global SOC while addressing regional threat landscape
  • Drive improvements in MTTD, MTTR, and operational resilience

Foster a Security-First Culture

  • Champion security-by-design and secure-by-default principles
  • Ensure compliance with regional regulations (e.g., DPDP, GDPR, etc.)
  • Drive adoption of modern security approaches such as Zero Trust, Identity-first security, AI-driven detection and response, AI governance and model risk management frameworks

The expected compensation for this role ranges from USD 190,000 - USD 400,000

    • Proven ability to lead distributed, cross-functional, and multicultural teams
    • Strong collaboration across business, technology, legal, and client stakeholders

K͏ey Qualifications

  • 20+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with significant leadership roles at regional or global levels
  • Proven experience as a Regional CISO / Client CISO / Security Leader in large, complex organizations
  • Demonstrated experience in client engagement, executive advisory, and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Strong exposure to regulated industries (e.g., BFSI, healthcare, telecom, or critical infrastructure)
  • Hands-on experience in:
    • Cyber risk management and governance
    • Security operations and incident response leadership
    • Cloud security and digital transformation programs
  • Experience in M&A cybersecurity due diligence and post-merger integration
  • Proven experience in managing AI/GenAI-related risks, governance, and adoption frameworks
  • Understanding of AI regulatory landscape and standards (e.g., ISO 42001, emerging global AI regulations)
  • Experience implementing AI risk controls, including model governance, data protection, and third-party AI risk management
  • Familiarity with secure enterprise adoption of GenAI tools and platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Relevant certifications preferred such as:
    • CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent
    • Cloud security certifications (e.g., CCSP, CCSK)
    • AI governance / risk certifications (emerging or relevant programs preferred)

The expected compensation for this role ranges from 240,000 to 400,000.

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
