Role - Principal AI Strategist - Senior Partner

Position Summary

We are seeking a senior leader to serve as our principal AI Strategist and Architecture authority. In this pivotal role, you will define the enterprise AI vision, establish robust governance frameworks, design cutting-edge reference architectures for agentic and generative AI systems, and act as a trusted advisor to C-suite and board-level stakeholders at our global Fortune 500 clients.

This is a senior advisory and governance position focused on shaping technology strategy and standards. While you will not be responsible for production implementation, you will lead prototyping efforts to validate architectural decisions and provide oversight to delivery teams. The ideal candidate is a practitioner leader with deep technical expertise, proven architectural judgment, and the executive presence to guide clients through strategic AI adoption.

Key Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Architecture
You will define and own the enterprise AI strategy, encompassing Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Machine Learning. Your duties will include designing the enterprise AI operating model, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps. Furthermore, you will lead the Architecture Review Board for all major AI programs and prototype novel AI solutions to validate strategic choices.

Governance & Risk
You will be responsible for establishing and implementing a comprehensive AI governance framework that aligns with regulations like the EU AI Act and NIST AI RMF. This includes setting responsible AI standards, such as model risk management, bias mitigation, and data privacy compliance. You will also report on AI risk, governance, and compliance to executive leadership and board committees.

Executive Advisory
In this capacity, you will advise CIOs, CTOs, and other senior executives on AI strategy, investment, and risk. You will lead high-stakes, client-facing engagements, including workshops, technology assessments, and executive briefings. A key part of your role will be to recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of senior architects and AI engineers, fostering a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Candidates must have 18+ years in enterprise technology, including at least 5+ years in a principal architect, CTO, or equivalent senior advisory role. You must have production-referenced experience in Generative and Agentic AI, including RAG architectures and LLM orchestration. Deep architectural fluency across the full technology stack (backend, front-end, databases, cloud, and integration) is essential, along with professional cloud architecture certification (AWS or Azure) and enterprise architecture certification. Finally, you need demonstrated experience establishing AI governance, Centers of Excellence, or large-scale architecture practices.

Preferred Qualifications
An MBA or Master’s in a relevant technical discipline is preferred. We value published thought leadership, such as keynotes, peer-reviewed papers, or major open-source contributions. Experience with enterprise AI platforms like Databricks, Palantir Foundry, or Snowflake Cortex is also a plus, as is domain expertise in key verticals such as Retail, Banking, Healthcare, or Manufacturing.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $240,000.00  to $375,000.00.

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
