Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Collibra Expert to lead the implementation of a brand-new Collibra Data Governance platform in a greenfield environment. This role is critical in establishing the foundation of our Data Governance Office, enabling structured governance, metadata management, and data acceleration across the enterprise.
The individual will be the primary driver of the Collibra implementation, responsible for requirement gathering, solution design, workflow development, and operational integration.
Key Responsibilities
• Implementation & Setup
o Lead the greenfield implementation of Collibra, ensuring alignment with business and governance requirements.
o Design foundational structures for Collibra environments, including operating models, domains, and roles.
o Define and onboard ~1000 Critical Data Elements (CDEs) into the new Collibra platform.
• Workflow & Playbook Development
o Create playbooks and workflows using Groovy scripting and Collibra workflow engine.
o Automate data governance processes such as approvals, stewardship assignments, and exception handling.
• Data Lineage & Integration
o Develop and configure lineage connectors and workflows to map data flows across systems.
o Ensure seamless integration between Collibra and upstream/downstream data platforms.
• Governance & Operating Model
o Define governance processes, stewardship responsibilities, and escalation models.
o Adjust and optimize the operating model as Collibra adoption scales.
• Acceleration & Continuous Improvement
o Provide best practices for data governance acceleration and adoption.
o Train and guide data owners, stewards, and governance stakeholders on Collibra usage.
o Support ongoing improvements and expansion of Collibra capabilities.
Required Skills & Experience
• Collibra Expertise: Hands-on experience implementing Collibra in enterprise environments (preferably greenfield).
• Workflow Development: Proficiency in Groovy scripting, workflow design, and Collibra workflow engine.
• Data Governance Knowledge: Strong understanding of governance frameworks, operating models, and CDE definition.
• Data Lineage: Experience with lineage connectors, metadata mapping, and integration with data platforms.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and metadata management practices.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and ability to drive adoption across business and IT teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience as a Collibra Architect.
• Exposure to financial services or regulated industry data governance programs.
• Certification in Collibra (e.g., Collibra Ranger, Collibra Workflow Engineer) preferred.

1. Bridging the gap between project and support teams through techno-functional expertise
- For a new business implementation project, drive the end to end process from business requirement management to integration & configuration and production deployment
- Check the feasibility of the new change requirements and provide optimal solution to the client with clear timelines
- Provide techno-functional solution support for all the new business implementations while building the entire system from the scratch
- Support the solutioning team from architectural design, coding, testing and implementation
- Understand the functional design as well as technical design and architecture to be implemented on the ERP system
- Customize, extend, modify, localize or integrate to the existing product by virtue of coding, testing & production
- Implement the business processes, requirements and the underlying ERP technology to translate them into ERP solutions
- Write code as per the developmental standards to decide upon the implementation methodology
- Provide product support and maintenance to the clients for a specific ERP solution and resolve the day to day queries/ technical problems which may arise
- Create and deploy automation tools/ solutions to ensure process optimization and increase in efficiency
- Sink between technical and functional requirements of the project and provide solutioning/ advise to the client or internal teams accordingly
- Support on-site manager with the necessary details wrt any change and off-site support

2. Skill upgradation and competency building
- Clear wipro exams and internal certifications from time to time to upgrade the skills
- Attend trainings, seminars to sharpen the knowledge in functional/ technical domain
- Write papers, articles, case studies and publish them on the intranet

Experience: 8-10 Years .
Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 . Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
