Location - New York ( 3 days WFO) 

Job Summary: Databricks Architect

Key Responsibilities: · Design scalable Lakehouse architectures using Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and MLflow. · Define enterprise standards for data ingestion, transformation, governance, security, and orchestration. · Architect batch and streaming data pipelines using Spark (PySpark/Scala). · Build data models, medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold), and optimized storage formats. · Lead end-to-end development of high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines. · Optimize Spark jobs for performance, cost efficiency, and reliability. · Implement best practices for CI/CD, DevOps & MLOps in Databricks. · Enable platform capabilities including Databricks SQL, Photon, and Auto Loader. · Implement and enforce governance using Unity Catalog, access control, and lineage. · Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory guidelines (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.). · Oversee cluster policies, workspace configurations, and cost governance. · Work closely with data engineers, ML engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders. · Guide technical teams on data engineering best practices.

· Conduct POCs, solution evaluations, and presentations to leadership. · Strong architectural and analytical thinking. · Ability to collaborate and communicate with senior stakeholders. · Leadership skills to mentor and guide engineering teams.

Experience: 8-10 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
