Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, and define system‑level and sub‑system requirements from OEM and internal stakeholders
  • Translate customer and stakeholder needs into clear, testable system requirements
  • Own and maintain requirements specifications, ensuring consistency, completeness, and traceability
  • Act as the technical interface between OEMs, product management, architecture, development, and validation teams
  • Support trade‑off analysis and requirement clarification to resolve technical and functional conflicts
  • Ensure requirements alignment across hardware, software, and integration teams
  • Support downstream activities including system design, development, integration, and validation
  • Participate in design reviews, requirement reviews, and change impact analysis
  • Coordinate with geographically distributed teams, including Michigan (Novi) and California‑based engineering teams
  • Work with Japanese OEM stakeholders, ensuring disciplined communication and documentation standards

Mandatory Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in Automotive Systems Engineering
  • Hands‑on experience in System Requirements definition and management
  • Understanding of Automotive electronic and software architectures
  • Experience working in Connected Vehicle / Telematics / Infotainment domains
  • Ability to document requirements clearly and communicate them effectively to multiple stakeholders
  • Experience working in cross‑functional and global delivery models
  • Exposure to Japanese OEMs or programs involving Japanese customers
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, equivalent tools)
