Role: Tools Engineer L3 – Zabbix Monitoring & Observability 

Role Purpose 

Lead Zabbix platform engineering, advanced monitoring design, automation, observability improvements and operations across enterprise environments. 

Key Responsibilities 

Design and optimize monitoring architecture, develop templates and triggers, manage integrations, perform root cause analysis, drive event noise reduction, support platform upgrades, oversee monitoring governance and mentor L1/L2 engineers. 

Technical Skills 

Zabbix Architecture, Linux/Windows Administration, SNMP, Network & Application Monitoring, API Integrations, ELK awareness, Automation Scripting (Shell/Python), ITIL, ServiceNow Integration and Observability practices. 

AI-Infused Capabilities 

AI-assisted anomaly detection, intelligent event correlation, predictive monitoring insights, alert optimization, automated remediation orchestration and GenAI-assisted troubleshooting. 

Experience Requirements 

Typically 5+ years of experience in enterprise monitoring, observability and Zabbix platform administration with engineering expertise. 

Leadership Responsibilities 

Provide technical leadership, conduct reviews, establish standards, drive continuous improvement initiatives and support transformation programs. 

KPIs 

Monitoring coverage, platform availability, alert quality improvement, MTTR reduction, automation adoption, SLA compliance and customer satisfaction.
