Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Tech Lead (.NET) to lead the design and delivery of high-quality, scalable applications built on the modern Microsoft technology stack. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical authority for your team, setting clear technical direction aligned to engineering strategy and pillars.
  • Provide hands-on leadership through code reviews, pairing, and technical design guidance.
  • Coach and mentor engineers across all levels, supporting skills development, career progression, and engineering maturity.
  • Design, build, and evolve scalable solutions using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core (MVC and Web API), React Native (mobile development).
  • Apply clean architecture, domain-driven design, and SOLID principles to produce maintainable and testable codebases.
  • Champion a strong testing culture, ensuring quality is built in from design through to production.
  • Define and implement testing strategies covering unit, integration, contract, performance, and security testing.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to shape technical solutions that align to product vision and roadmap.
  • Partner with Scrum Masters to continuously improve team ways of working and delivery flow.
  • Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support effective backlog refinement, estimation, and technical dependency management.
  • Leverage Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Bicep, Terraform, ARM, CDK) to automate environments and deployments.
  • Improve developer experience and delivery efficiency through tooling, automation, and pipeline optimisation

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with microservices, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with messaging and eventing technologies.
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tooling.
  • Exposure to frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Blazor.
  • Experience facilitating technical, architectural, or product discovery workshops.
