Role Purpose

The Observability Engineer implements monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions to ensure end‑to‑end visibility, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement logging, metrics, and tracing systems.
  • Develop dashboards and alerting strategies.
  • Ensure platform SLA/SLO tracking and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot production issues using observability data.
  • Automate observability tooling and integrations.
  • Collaborate with SRE and dev teams on improvements.

Required Skills

  • Experience with tools like Splunk, Elastic, Dynatrace, or Prometheus.
  • Understanding of distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of telemetry standards (OpenTelemetry).
  • Scripting and automation ability.
  • Experience building dashboards and alerting.
  • Knowledge of SRE principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SRE or DevOps background.
  • Experience with AIOps tools.
  • Cloud observability (AWS/Azure) expertise.
  • Certifications in monitoring tools.

Experience: 5-8 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
