Mandatory Skills – Oracle DBA + Oracle RAC + Data Guard + GoldenGate + RMAN + Performance Tuning + Oracle 12c/19c + Production Support

Secondary Skills - PostgreSQL + Oracle Cloud + Unix/Linux + Ansible/Puppet/Tanium + Agile + DevOps + Automation

Location – Pune , Hyderabad, Bangalore

Experience – 7 -12 Years

Required Skill

• Strong technical knowledge of Oracle concepts like RAC, Dataguard & OGG

• Expertise in 12c,19c versions & OEM

• Build and Deploy/Implement Solutions. Perform Capacity Planning and DR Planning.

• Expertise in Troubleshooting Performance Issues and providing solutions.

• Expertise in RMAN Backup/Restore/Recovery.

• Expertise in Role swap & Failover planning and implementation.

• Strong technical knowledge of database space management

• Implementing releases / service requests

• Expertise in GoldenGate

• Expertise in Database upgrades and migrations

Additional Skill

• Knowledge on Oracle Cloud

• Knowledge on UNIX based OS

• knowledge of automation tool like Ansible / Puppet / Tanium

• Knowledge about Agile practices and DevOps tools.

Principal responsibilities

• The job holder is responsible for technical delivery of 24x7 production support to Oracle and Postgres(preferred) databases and work as a Subject Matter Expert for the production support team.

• Expertise in Oracle RAC and Database

• Perform troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis and provide permanent fixes.

• EXPERT knowledge in Investigate and provide solutions to database performance related issues in Oracle Database.

• Lead Database team in crisis calls, participate in MIR and PIR calls, also mentor team members.

• Experience and expertise in maintaining complex High Availability & Replication setups.

• Provide consultancy for complex setups and Disaster Recovery

• Identify automation and Self-Healing opportunities and develop automation to reduce manual efforts and standardize processes.

• Knowledge on PostgreSQL architecture, background processes, and storage structure.

• Knowledge of database objects such as schemas, tables, indexes, constraints, and partitioning.

• Knowledge of transaction management, locking, and concurrency control.

• In Postgres Basic performance monitoring concepts including query behaviour and database growth management.

• Knowledge of role-based access control, authentication methods, and security best practices.

• Familiarity with production support processes and incident handling in PostgreSQL environments
