Job Description: 

Oracle Retail Merchandising Modules

Having 6 to 10 Yrs of technical expertise on PLSQL, Oracle Forms, Scripting , Proc* C and experience working on Oracle retail applications. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Oracle Retail applications (RMS Item, PO, PISL, ReSA RPM etc.) to support retail operations.
  • Design, implement, and optimize Oracle PL/SQL code for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with retail business units to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Integrate Oracle Retail Suite modules with other enterprise systems.
  • Ensure data integrity and security across Oracle databases and applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Oracle Retail applications and interfaces.
  • Prepare technical documentation for solutions, workflows, and system configurations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development.
  • Experience with Oracle Retail Suite (RMS Item, PO, PISL, ReSA RPM, etc.).
  • Knowledge of retail business processes such as merchandising, inventory, and supply chain.
  • Ability to design and implement technical solutions based on business requirements.
  • Problem-solving and debugging skills for application and database performance issues.
  • 4+ years of techno-functional experience in Oracle Retail applications is often preferred.

Typical Deliverables

  • Custom Oracle Retail modules and enhancements.
  • Optimized PL/SQL scripts and stored procedures.
  • Integration solutions between Oracle Retail and ERP/third-party systems.
  • Documentation of technical designs and workflows.
  • Ongoing support and maintenance for retail applications.

Areas of Responsibility         

Requirement Gathering-Understand the functional requirements and assist in translating these into technical specifications.

Configuration and Customisation-"Assist in performing coding, configuration, and minor customisations as per defined design and development standards."

Technology Harmonisation-Support integration testing by validating interface behaviour and identifying basic issues.

Troubleshooting and optimisation-Support troubleshooting activities and help resolve basic technical issues related to performance or configuration of a specific module.

Documentation-Assist in preparing user documentation, configuration notes, and testing artefacts for a specific module.
